MOFO MOBO
« on: April 23, 2012, 04:19:06 pm »
As the title suggests, the motherboard on my FS rig is now a potential anchor.... >:(

I do have another system of equivalent specs, so I just need to get FS set up on it and transfer all the NOBLE  stuff over.  ???

Must add... EVERYTHING FS related is on the hard drive, let's cross our collective fingers that it's all safe and sound.

Did you bequeath your old beast to Ian Gary?....or is it some sinister trojan from another VA? I'd better keep an eye on things here.... :D ;)
Cheers

Best of luck with the change. I have just updated MOBO, Ram and CPU and am literally just getting online. Only took me a little over an hour to change all that over and i have done a test run on FSX with no changes to the setup. What was giving me an unreliable 20 FPS most of the time with drops down to 6 FPS at times is not locked rock solid at around 90 FPS. Next test is to move all the sliders ( currently 50 to 75% range) all the way to the top and see what that gives me.

Sometimes a failure is a blessing in disguise.

LOL Certainly sounds like my old machine. Hey Mark, you're not suggesting that the Frenchman's Revenge may have something to do with with Razz's misfortune are you?  :D :D :D

Regards,
Gary.
