I am almost half way thru a round the world trip and just logged my last PIREP only to see that i had used -14kg of fuel. Now i know i leaned the old Chieftain out but i don't think she is that efficient. I think i have tracked the culprit down to a default FSX refuel box that is still there even with add on scenery that moves the refuel point to the correct location on the airfield. When i shut down i miraculously had full tanks again. ( If only i could do that IRL). Does anyone know if it is possible to stop FSX automatically filling your aircraft up on shut down if you are on a fuel spot?
Oh and the next question, what does one do if you are doinga ribbon flight with real world weather and enroute the weather fogs in and you go missed approach? Lucky i filled the girl up nad had a fair bit of hold fuel although i managed to get in off the second approach just ( and i didn't break minimas at all). Nothing like Fog, 700m vis to make a sporting approach, and throw in high ground surrounding the airport it makes it fun.
