Caution ORBZ NZ North Island

FTX have recalled the ORBX NZ North Island scenery launched this weekend due to an issue with the wrapper which may cause your FSX folder to be wiped clean.

Unfortunately i have suffered this so no flying for me for a wee while until i can re-install everything.

Too say i am pissed off is an understatement.

For sure Ty, I think we all would be. FTX need to do some quick apologies  here and maybe a bit of a credit towards their next product. Hit 'em hard mate.

Turns out it was not FTX but Flightsimstore.com that caused it. They are providing recompense to all effected so not too bad at all.

I have managed to get FSX and the basics back with NZSI and NZNI scenery the only thing installed just in case. I'll throw a decent GA aircraft on and do an alphabetical tour of NZ and see how it looks.

I bought this the same day but they had fixed the problem and have had no problem.
New scenery looks awesome.

To be fair to ORBX and Flightsimstore.com they have been very good about sorting things out. I now have a newly downloaded copy of NZNI which is working perfectly and looks great. Flightsimstore has given me a $30 credit voucher ( my idea for the voucher and i left the price up to him) so in the end the scenery effectively cost me $12.

I am very happy with both ORBX and Flightsimstore. Luckily i had a pretty good backup of my FS system. Unfortunately my FSINN is not working at all and i cannot get it to recognise my FSX no matter what i try. I am going to remove it and try a reinstall and see if that helps. Once that is fixed i will be back to online flying but until then it will be offline flights for me, starting with Alex to Ardmore (yes i am going to fly an alphabetical tour of NZ).

Finally sorted FSINN. For some reason the FSCopilot module did not install itself to the correct folder. Copied it across and now i am all go. I will be doing leg one from Alex to Ardmore tonight.
